The Riverside Community sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ú District Board of Trustees has selected Emily Craig as the District’s 2023 Alumnus of the Year. Craig graduated from the sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ú paramedic program, Class 12. Since 1959, the Riverside Community sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ú District has selected an alum for the award.

sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ú’s Dental Hygiene program is celebrating 20 years of accreditation as part of National Dental Hygiene Month which is observed annually in October. The sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ú's Dental Hygiene program is the only community college based dental hygiene program in the Inland Empire.

The Riverside Community sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ú District (RCCD) and sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ú (MVC) were honored to support and sponsor the inaugural State of the Black I.E. Symposium, a significant event dedicated to advancing equity, justice, and empowerment within the Inland Empire's Black community.

Sandra Martínez, dean of Enrollment and Engagement, has been selected by the Hispanic Association of sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ús and Universities as one of 50 fellows who will be part of the fifth cohort of its Leadership Academy/La Academia de Liderazgo.

An investment from 100 Black Men of The Inland Empire (100 BMIE) to the Riverside Community sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ú District established the 100 BMIE Umoja Scholarship Fund, underscoring their commitment to supporting youth and young adults in their pursuit of higher education and academic excellence.

sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ú for Kids, a pilot program offered for free in its first year, aimed to provide an enriching and educational experience to children who may not have access to summer camps due to financial constraints.

Riverside Community sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ú District marked a momentous occasion on July 27 in celebrating the success of the inaugural cohort of the Californians For All, sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ú Corps Program at the Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art and Culture.

The California Corps Program at sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ú will be recognized during the Western Riverside Council of Governments’ 32nd Annual General Assembly & Leadership Conference on June 29 at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula.
