For a group of sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ú MESA scholars, a Saturday at the Disneyland Resort was not a break from their STEM education. It became one of the most immersive extensions of it.

Jorge Zavala grew up in Moreno Valley, but it was on the campus of sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ú where he began to see the region through the lens of a future policymaker. He now serves as a legislative affairs analyst for the Southern California Association of Governments.
